Teen's life saved from icy water by phone assistant

Gael Salcedo (18) thought he was going to die after he crashed into the river. Tuesday at around 7:30am the Iowa boy lost control of his car and crashed into the freezing river, he thought he was going to die because he was unable to find his phone and call for help, but he had remembered that his phone had a voice assistant. "I turned to the right and everything just went blurry, I didn’t know where I was going, "I lost my phone and since I couldn't find it I was like, 'Hey Siri, call 911' and once Siri called that's when I found my phone finally.Firefighters arrived and found the 18-year-old  in his jeep sinking into the icy River. The force of the water stopped the door on the driver's side from opening, however,  firefighters were able to get him out safely.  By this time the teen was freezing and he had lost all feeling in his hands and feet " I was struggling a lot and the water was just so strong, so I kept tripping and had the guy help me up a bunch of times and I used all my strength to get out of the water.
